Metro Red Line ($2.25 one-way, ~35 minutes from Metro Center to DCA station) is the fastest and cheapest option for downtown travelers—the station is directly in the terminal. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) runs $18–28 from downtown D.C. during off-peak hours, $35–50 during rush hour or late night. Taxi flat rate is $30 from downtown, faster than rideshare during congestion. If driving, parking at DCA is pricey ($18/day for economy, $28/day for valet), but the Metro option is genuinely convenient enough that most locals avoid paying.
